STRO’s CEO, Henk van Arkel, is currently in Uruguay.
Read here his post on the visit of a large Costa Rican Cooperative that came to Montevideo to be trained in STRO’s monetary tools:
No spare moments in Montevideo. I do not mean to complain: it is great. The last three days we trained people from Costa Rica how to benefit from the C3-tool.
For over half a year now STRO Uruguay hosts Michael Gonzalez as an intern in Montevideo. Coopevictoria is the oldest agricultural cooperative of Costa Rica. Sending an IT specialist to learn from the STRO Uruguay Cyclos programming team turned out to be a smart idea.
One month ago Michael went back to Costa Rica to marry Ana-Laura (congratulations Michael!). While back in Costa Rica, Michael demonstrated the Cyclos software to the management of Coopevictoria. They were so enthusiastic that they came to Montevideo to learn more. Nice people! For me however a bit a disaster because their Spanish is quite different from what I learn here….So I got awful tired of trying to make sense out of the few words I understood.
The first two days of the training were used to explain all the tools in C3 and under which circumstance these best could be used. What will follow is IT training, sharing juridical information and administrational and organisational aspects of running a C3.
